Course Description

Applying the Balance Evidence to Exercise

We will cover research-proven strategies and apply them to exercises we use in the pool. Alignment research will be applied to gait and other ADLs. Anticipatory and Reactive Perturbations, Constant Change concept and Foot Mobility will also be reviewed and applied. Leg strength exercises will be experienced in vertical, kneeling and standing positions. It will be interesting (and maybe fun!) – please come and join us!

Balance and Stepping Strategies Using Ai Chi

We will show ankle, hip and stepping strategies and progressions using Ai Chi. A major goal is to keep the client relaxed and stress-free while incorporating these strategies. If you’re working with balance deficits this course can help. We’ll watch the ideas and then have a discussion with everyone attending to get more ideas and comments. It’s Zoom and it’s short. Please schedule me into your day!
