Description

Thoracic Kyphosis Rehab with Ruth Sova

Excessive thoracic kyphosis (ETK), or forward rounding of the upper spine, affects more than just posture—it can influence breathing, digestion, comfort, and overall quality of life. This course blends education and movement to address ETK through awareness, assessment, and aquatic strategies. Participants will review the signs, symptoms, and functional challenges of ETK, then explore safe and effective exercises that promote spinal alignment, muscle balance, and confidence in daily function.

This course includes a handout, practical video, and quiz.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Identify the symptoms, effects, and self-assessment strategies for excessive thoracic kyphosis.

  2. Explain how ETK impacts musculoskeletal, respiratory, and functional health.
